The questionnaire consisted of 20 diverse questions, designed to capture insights about the adoption of cashless transactions and the role of UPI (Unified Payments Interface). Participants were provided with single-choice, multiple-choice, and open-ended questions to express their opinions and experiences.
One of the key aspects explored in the survey was the frequency of cash usage in transactions. The responses revealed a notable shift towards digital payments, with many participants stating that they rarely or never used cash anymore.
The survey also delved into the ownership of smartphones, considering it as a fundamental requirement for embracing cashless transactions. Interestingly, a majority of the respondents affirmed owning a smartphone, indicating the potential for widespread adoption of digital payment apps.
When asked about the preferred digital payment apps, respondents had a myriad of options to choose from. Google Pay, PhonePe, and Paytm emerged as the top contenders, reflecting their popularity among users.
A crucial aspect considered in the survey was the level of trust placed in UPI's security for carrying out transactions. While a significant portion of the participants expressed complete trust, there were some who remained skeptical. This highlights the importance of continuously refining the security features of digital payment platforms such as UPI.

The respondents acknowledged various benefits, such as convenience, faster transactions, and better expense tracking. However, concerns surrounding internet connectivity, technological literacy, and resistance from traditional cash users were noted as potential roadblocks.
Additionally, the survey analyzed the impact of UPI and other digital payment solutions on financial inclusion. While opinions varied, a considerable number of participants believed that a cashless economy promotes financial inclusion by enabling easy access to financial services.
The questionnaire concluded with open-ended questions, allowing respondents to share their suggestions for improving UPI and cashless payments. Some common themes that emerged were the need for enhanced user interfaces, better customer support, and increased merchant acceptance.
