There comes a time in every criminology student's life when they have to face the ultimate challenge - the licensure examination. But how prepared are they? We conducted a quantitative questionnaire to measure the level of preparedness among 4th year criminology students.
The survey aimed to assess their logical reasoning skills and determine whether they feel confident in their ability to excel in the licensure examination. The questionnaire consisted of 20 different questions, covering various aspects of preparedness.
The questions were designed to gauge the students' confidence in their logical reasoning abilities, their familiarity with the examination format and content, and their study preparation. Participants were asked to answer on a scale of 'Strongly Agree', 'Agree', 'Disagree', or 'Strongly Disagree'.
From the survey results, it was evident that the students' level of preparedness varied significantly. While some students expressed strong confidence in their logical reasoning, study plan, and ability to manage time effectively, others showed concerns in these areas.
It is crucial for criminology students to be well-prepared for the licensure examination as it determines their professional competence. Therefore, it is imperative for educational institutions to provide comprehensive guidance and support to ensure students are adequately equipped.
Based on the data collected, it was evident that some students have taken the necessary steps to enhance their logical reasoning skills. They sought feedback from professors, engaged in debates, and practiced with sample questions. However, there were also students who admitted they lacked sufficient practice and guidance.
Moving forward, it is essential for academic institutions to address these concerns. They should provide structured study plans, organize mock examinations, and create a supportive environment where students can seek guidance from professors and peers.
